Undergraduate Aid Types

Listed below are the different types of aid available for undergraduate students. Click each link to view more detailed information about each aid type.
Federal Direct Loans
  • Loans through the federal government provide funding that you do have to pay back after graduation.
  • Different loans accrue (or do not accrue) interest in different ways.
  • Grants provide funding that you do not have to pay back after graduation.
Perkins Loan
  • EXPIRED - no new loans
  • The Federal Perkins Loan is a low-interest, long-term loan which is provided by the federal government and NNU.
  • This is funding that you do have to pay back after graduation.
​Parent Loans
  • There are loans available for parents of students needing additional funding.
Alternative Loans
  • Lending institutions make loans available to students and "credit-worthy" parents or co-signers for up to the total cost of education (minus other aid).
  • This is funding that you do have to pay back after graduation.
Monthly Payment Plan
